26th Anniversary of Mass Shooting That Occurred In Killeen

On Oct 19th, 1991 one of the worst U.S. Mass shootings occurred right here in Killeen.

26 years ago, George Hennard drove his pickup truck through a glass window of a restaurant named "Luby's Cafeteria" on Central TX Expressway during the lunch hour rush.

George Hennard killed 22 people in 12 minutes using two semi-automatic pistols. The 23rd person passed away a few days later due to severe injuries.

The Luby's massacre is charted as the 5th worse incident on the infamous list created by Time Magazine.

Today we remember those who lost their lives in such a tragic incident.
