50 Cent has been hit with a legal threat for a show that's not even started production yet. According to TMZ, Starz reportedly received a legal letter from JourStarr Publications, a black-owned publishing company, telling the cable giant that Fiddy’s superhero show is a direct copy of their fiction book, Othello Greene: The Story Begins written by Anthony Baltimore.

In August, 50 Cent and Starz announced they were producing a superhero show about a veteran who becomes an unwilling experiment for an evil doctor. 50 said the series is based on a screenplay he wrote. But the publisher for JourStarr Publications, Justin Daugherty, believes that the G-Unit leader copied the idea from one of his books.

50 Cent is working on a myriad of projects right now. The 41-year-old rapper-actor currently appears in Starz's powerhouse drama Power. He's also developing an "innovative" variety series for the A&E Network. Finally, 50 is working on a television series based on the infamous Black Mafia Family with approval from the B.M.F. co-founder Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.

Reps for Starz and 50 Cent had no comment on the legal matter.
