6ix9ine pleads guilty.

According to The Daily Beast, the rapper has pleaded guilty to nine counts of federal racketeering and firearms charges.

TMZ reports that Tekashi entered his guilty plea on Jan. 23, and, during the hearing, he admitted to paying someone to try to shoot Chief Keef. He apparently identified the triggerman as well. He also claims that he did so so he could earn a better standing among the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, a gang he says he joined in the fall of 2017.

Tekashi, born name Daniel Hernandez, also admits that he participated in the armed robbery of a rival on New York City's 40th street on April 3, 2018. He went on to say that he once sold a kilo of heroin. He said all of this while addressing the court.

"I apologize to the court, to anyone who was hurt, to my family, friends and fans for what I have done and who I have let down," said 6ix9ine, who was reportedly involved in the selling of ecstasy, heroin, fentanyl, amphetamines and marijuana.

TMZ says that 6ix9ine, who was originally said to be facing 32 years to life in prison, could be sentenced to 47 years behind bars.

This news comes just after two months after the rapper was arrested by federal agents and hit with several federal firearms and racketeering charges. On Nov. 28, 2018, Tekashi pled not guilty to the charges, but he's obviously changed his mind since. Speaking with XXL at the time, Tekashi's then-attorney, Lance Lazzaro, made it clear that be believed 6ix9ine would be proven innocent of the crimes.

"I believe that the charges against him is an over-charge by the U.S. Attorney's Office and that when the facts come out I am confident that the charges will be dismissed as it relates to Daniel Hernandez, Tekashi 6ix9ine," Lazzaro said at the time.

Last week, Lazzaro was removed from Tekashi's case when it was discovered that he'd withheld information about his prior work representing two of Tekashi's fellow Nine Trey Gangsta Blood co-defendants.
