B.G. might be coming homing a lot sooner than expected. In 2012, the New Orleans rapper was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering. But in a new interview with DJ Smallz, B.G.'s son T.Y. claimed that his father will be out within the next year or two.

"His time's short. He’s coming home, like within probably this year,” T.Y. said. “If not this year, next year for sure, but we shooting for this year, you feel me? Cause he been telling me all kind of good shit."

T.Y., who has built a name for himself as part of Curren$y's Jet Life crew, also spoke about the difficulty he's had communicating with his father. The young rapper said B.G.'s celebrity status has caused some problems within the system.

"We was communicating a lot in the beginning of the year, but he was switching jails a lot," T.Y. said. "And they was fucking over him and shit cause of who he was. So, they was taking a lot of his privileges away. [They] had him on lock down a lot. Just doing little dumb shit. We was just communicating through letters. And that shit don't be moving like how you would think cause that shit takes days to get to you. But, we talk as much as we could."

T.Y. explained that B.G. is currently in a good state of mind despite being locked up in jail. The "Bling Bling" rapper expressed a similar sentiment last year when he participated in XXL's Doin' Lines feature.
