It looks like Jay-Z's money ain't a thing motto and love for art is already starting to rub off on his daughter Blue Ivy. Hov and Beyoncé's little one recently bid $19,000 on a painting at the Waco Theater Art Gala in Los Angeles.

The prim event went down last night (March 17), at the art gallery founded by Bey's mother Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson. Part of the soiree featured an auction where attendees bid on fine paintings. Blue may have ended up putting a little dent in her parent's pockets when she fell for a painting that was up for grabs titled "Young Sidney" by artist Tiffanie Anderson.

The painting, valued at $16,000, started taking bids at $10K. Blue indicated she wanted to bid $17,000 on the artwork, which a drew laugh from the crowd. At one point, Hov jokingly tried to grab her marker away before she could do anymore damage to his wallet. Someone else offered $18,000, but the young Carter heir refused to be outbid, upping the stakes to $19,000. It looks like Blue has been listening to "The Story of O.J." a lot. It is unclear if she secured the painting in the end.

During the event, Beyoncé also received the Humanitarian Award for her philanthropic efforts. Jay-Z's mother Gloria Carter was also honored with the Everyday People Award.
