After a video made rounds of Bobby V hurriedly leaving the apartment of a transgender escort after she claimed he didn't pay for services rendered, the singer has issued a statement via his representatives claiming he was extorted.

While Bobby V didn't deny that it's him in the video (although he's holding a jacket over his face, there is a very clear shot of him), he claims that he didn't know the person was an escort and that he's now being extorted after it was found out that he's a famous singer.

"Misrepresentation and deception were maliciously used to target Valentino; during the encounter, Valentino was victimized and threatened by acts of extortion which continued after his departure was captured on video," the rep told TMZ.

According to the escort, Bobby V was filmed rushing out of the apartment, shoeless and without his keys, because he didn't pay up. But the singer's rep says that he's reported the extortion attempt to law enforcement because that's not what really went down. Bobby V, who was literally caught on camera with his pants off, also claims he didn't know the person was transgender.

At any rate, a lot of people have had a lot to say about the whole incident, including Snoop Dogg, who reached out a helping hand to Bobby V, telling him to "get his s--- together" and call him.

We'll see how this all plays out.
