Burger King Encourages Customers to Go to McDonald’s for One Cent Whoppers

So yeahhhhh Burger King is petty LOL!

If you download The Burger King app it will unlock a coupon for a 1¢ Whopper! If you're too close to a McDonald's, that is.

You see, the app will detect where you are and redirect you to the nearest Burger King location if you get within 600 feet of a McDonald's.

It's part of BK's Whopper Detour promotion, and as you can see from the video below, they're being pretty petty about it. You'd figure Wendy's would have thought of this first, given how smug they are on social media. Maybe the King anticipated such a move and struck first!

Either way, this is some genius marketing, even if it is stone-cold gangsta!

We can't wait to see what the competition comes up with to get back at them.
