Damn it, Sosa. After releasing his long-awaited Thot Breaker project last week, Chief Keef has been arrested in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for possession of two ounces to less than a half pound of marijuana and possession or use of drug paraphernalia. Jail records show he was booked at 9:21 a.m. Monday morning (June 12).

"Our lawyers are on top of it and we are confident that the situation will be handled in a timely fashion and Keith will be released very soon," a rep for Keef's team tells XXL.

Keef was scheduled to perform at a show on June 11 at the Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls. This is the second time Sosa's been arrested this year. In early April, he was stopped by police in Miami Beach and booked for DUI. He was later released on bond.

In our exclusive interview with Keef earlier this year, he told us how focused he was on dropping new music. That much is apparent with Thot Breaker, a pop-leaning project that might be his best release in years. We spoke to CBMix, Keef's main producer on Thot Breaker, about the making of it, Keef's recording process and what direction he wants to go in next.
