Copperas Cove Residents Battle The City Over Water

Two Copperas Cove residents are not feeling their recent water bill.

Could you imagine opening a bill and seeing that you owe $935.00? Yeah I would go crazy.

Allegedly, this family has lived in the Copperas Cove area for over 17 years and they say they have never had a problem with the city until now.

In May, the Hicks family received a water bill that was outrageous. At first they thought that maybe them having their pipes redone was the cause of the high bill but after contacting the city that wasn't the cause either.

The city claims that the Hicks actually used $935.00 worth of water regardless of what the family says and they are still being held responsible for the bill.

Talk about running up a check!
