Last weekend, police had to close Mcgregor Park in Belton early after a 9-year old finding a live grenade with its pin still intact.

After discovering it was a grenade, the child reportedly threw it to shore where his dad made sure he removed the grenade from the public and called local authorities who then detonated the grenade with explosives.

Police have no idea where the grenade came from and how long it was on the beach but after the situation was resolved, Mcgregor park was reopened.
