Dump Truck Spill Causes Delays on Southbound Interstate 35 Tuesday Afternoon

Southbound I-35 was at a virtual standstill Tuesday afternoon after a dump truck spilled its load on the highway just south fo the Centra/Adams crossing.

Traffic was backed up as far as Industrial Blvd. And drivers were being advised of delays of up to 30 minutes.

If you can avoid Southbound I-35 through Temple, you are strongly advised to do so.

TxDOT's Jodi Wheatley recommends taking Exit 304 to Loop 363 and entering the southbound ramp near IHOP, Chili's, and McDonald's on the south side of town.
