FOX 26 in Houston reports that Energy Star, The agency that provides information to U.S. consumers on how to save money and how to improve air quality on behalf of the Department of Energy and The Environmental Protection Agency, suggests you keep your thermostat at 78 degrees to optimize energy efficiency making it possible to save money.

It seems as if hot temperatures aren't over this summer so they released a number of tips ranging from keeping your windows open at night, using fans and ventilation strategies, and not using appliances like ovens when it's extremely hot outside.

Something that stuck out to me, the list suggests you turn the thermostat to 82 while you sleep! Huh?!?
