Last weekend, French Montana released his new single, “No Shopping,” which featured Drake and his subliminal verses that appear to be aimed at Joe Budden. But according to Frenchy, Drizzy’s rhymes weren’t directed at anybody, much less the New Jersey rhymer.

In an interview with MTV, while he was getting a haircut, the Coke Boy leader insist that Drake wasn’t trying to go after the Slaughterhouse rhymer.

“I don’t think we did that record thinking about Joe Budden," he said. "No, I don’t think—I know that for a fact.”

"I don't think we was in there thinking about anybody," he added. "I don't think we went in [the studio] with negative energy."

On "No Shopping," Drake raps, “Pump, pump, pump it up / I’m not a one hit wonder, they know all my stuff / You let me turn into the n---- that you almost was," which many believed was a response to Budden calling Views uninspired.

Budden fired back with a fiery diss track (his third aimed at Drake) called "Afraid." On it, he gives a stern warning to the 6 God not to test him.

“If pushed to the streets, I see wood in your physique,” he raps. “Thinking you misunderstood my hood, this isn’t Meek n---- / This ain’t a standard that you couldn’t meet / Just from your views, you probably couldn’t see.”

As of now, Drake hasn't responded with his own official diss song to Budden.

Elsewhere in the interview, Montana revealed that the "No Shopping" video will arrive later this week. French Montana's Mac and Cheese 4 will hit stores on Aug. 19.
