UPDATE: KWTX reports that the victim has been identified as 35-year-old Larry James Sterling.


 

Harker Heights police are investigating the death of an unidentified man found fatally shot Saturday morning.

KWTX reports that officers responded to a shots fired call in the are of West Beeline Lane and South Roy Reynolds Drive shortly after 2:38 AM. Before they arrived, they were advised that a man had been shot. Upon arrival, they discovered the man had been shot multiple times and attempted CPR on him, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.

Paramedics arrived a short time later and were also unable to resuscitate the victim.

The deceased was described as a 26-year-old black man with short-cropped hair and tattoos on his arm. He was wearing a multi-colored Levi's tank top over a gray tank top, black jeans over black and white basketball shorts, black Nike basketball shoes, and black ankle socks.
