Killeen and Temple, Get caught texting while driving through Nolanville and pay up to $500 fine!
Starting May 1st, if you get caught using a wireless device while driving, in the city of Nolanville, you could get ticketed up to $500! That amount could also double if construction workers are in the area.
Though Nolanville is one of 90 cities in Texas to have passed such a law, it is the first city in Bell county.
Statistics show that texting while driving makes you 6 times more likely to get in an accident. They also show that you are more likely to get in an accident texting than you are if you are drunk! Which may be one of the reasons the law was passed.
