Killeen School Officials Deny “Lunch Shaming” Policy

Parents of students that attend Clear Creek Elementary have been in a frenzy since receiving a letter that read "trays will be pulled" from students who don't have money to pay for meals.

According to KWTX Killeen School officials rushed to clarify the districts meal policy. They ensure parents that the school nor the district plan to have such policy's in place.

Superintendent John Craft said in a statement this morning "“The district has plans and procedures in place to ensure all students receive nutritious meals on a daily basis,”

While some parents are still concerned others are finding comfort in the words spoken by the Superintendent.
