A natural gas leak is causing minor headaches this morning in Temple.

According to a release from Temple Fire and Rescue, shortly before 9:00 a.m. Wednesday contractors excavating on South 31st Street between West Avenue T and Scott Boulevard damaged a natural gas line.

D'oh!

The good news is Atmos Energy crews have plugged the leak and are fixing the damage. And no streets are closed at present.

According to TF&R, natural gas service will be interrupted to a number of locations on Scott Boulevard and HK Dodgen Loop. It's unknown how long natural gas service will be interrupted. It better not interrupt the lunch crowd at Wings!
