Offset surprised hip-hop fans everywhere when he got down on one knee over the weekend to propose to girlfriend Cardi B. While the "Bodak Yellow" rapper hasn't been shy about showing off the ring, we now know how much it cost the Migos member.

According to a report from TMZ, Offset spent $550,000 on the piece of jewelry. The ring, which took a month and a half to create, features an eight-carat stone surrounded by two half-carat pear diamonds and two carats worth of pink and white stones. The ring is also made in a custom raindrop shape, which Offset requested.

While the ring may have set Offset back a few dollars, the couple could be in line to earn a good amount of money back. After news of the engagement broke, one person on Twitter had a brilliant idea. "Offset and Cardi B just got engaged," he tweeted. "On God, if they don't have a tv special for the wedding and call it Never Let Migo', Ima be pissed.'"

BET's social media account caught wind of the idea and replied, "@iamcardib @offsetryn - #WeGotYou when you ready!" But the couple was quickly hit with another offer when Mona Scott-Young, creator of the Love & Hip Hop series, slid in and said, "Love ya @BET but #WeGotThis. #AnotherCheckFromMonaScott @VH1 #4Evah!"

In related Offset news, the rapper and the rest of the Migos crew recently graced the cover of XXL's 20th anniversary issue. He also dropped a surprise project with 21 Savage called Without Warning produced entirely by Metro Boomin.
