A story like this might make you buy a metal detector.

I used to hunt for arrowheads with my crandfather. In Lone Grove, Oklahoma, they use metal detectors with their crandfathers. It certainly paid off big.

KTEN is reporting that a young boy, testing his new detector, found thousands of dollars in rings, diamonds, pearls, and half dollars that date back to the late 1800s, as well as a book about Shakespeare that someone seemed to use as a diary.

I was saying to a co-worker that this will become an addiction to the young man. Which is a shame, because this just might be the best he'll ever find, so he might as well sell the metal detector when sells the coins. It doesn't get any better than this.
