You may already know this but just to remind you again - although they both fall on a Tuesday, you can't buy liquor on Christmas and New Year's Day.

The reminder came courtesy of the folks at KXXV-TV, Channel 25.

When we saw their story, we knew we had to make a list and check it twice so we'd be all set when it came to booze for the holidays. They were even kind enough to link to the actual law, which has been in effect since The Texas Liquor Control Act was passed back in 1935.

Also, when holidays fall on a Sunday, you can't purchase liquor the following Monday either.

But you knew that already right?

Want to do something about it?

May be hard, bro.

But if it's any consolation, the TABC says you can legally buy liquor at a restaurant on Sundays before noon as long as it's paired with food. Of course, that depends on the restaurant actually being open on a holiday and what they define as "food". Maybe you'll get lucky.

Bookmark that TABC page and keep it handy so you know when and where you can and can't load up in Central Texas.

Cheers!
