UPDATE: Contrary to reports, Remy Ma is still in prison. According to REVOLT, the Bronx rapper is still in custody due to a disciplinary problem on July 21, the same day she called into Angie Martinez's show on Power 105. 1. No word on when Remy will be released. More information forthcoming...

Remy Ma is free at last! According to Hot 97, the Bronx rapper was released today (July 31) from New York's Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women at 8AM ET.

Remy Ma was greeted by her husband Papoose and her manager Nelson.

The 'Conceited' rapper called into Angie Martinez's show on Power 105.1 last week to talk about her incarceration and impending release from the pen.

"In a lot of ways, I’m the same. A lot of people are like, ‘Oh my God, she hasn’t changed,’” she joked, before admitting that prison has allowed her to mature in many different ways. “I grew up a lot, I look at things a lot differently -- as far as business-wise. Also, personally with my self, I’m like, ‘Yo, I was really crazy!’"

Remy was sentenced to eight years in prison on assault charges stemming from a 2008 incident, in which she shot another woman, but received a shorter sentence.

While in prison, the 33-year-old rapper also reconciled with Fat Joe after having a major fallout with him in 2008.

“We finally let it go,” she said. “We ended up talking about things I want to do when I get home. He said, ‘I still think you’re the dopest female rapper ever.’ I’m like, ‘Really?!’ [Laughs]."

Remy says she’s plenty of songs written for an album.

“I have so much material that I’ve been working on and so many topics I want to touch on,” she said.

Welcome home, Remy Ma!
