Back in 1995, Tech N9ne mixed up some Malibu Rum, 151, and pineapple juice to create his signature Caribou Lou concoction. The cocktail later spawned one of his most commercially successful songs with the platinum-certified "Caribou Lou" from his 2006 album Everready. The Kansas City native now takes his talents to the world of craft beer with the launching of his own Bou Lou beer, which comes in collaboration with K.C. staple Boulevard Brewing.

The wheat beer contains pineapple and coconut flavoring featuring an enticing taste for beer lovers this summer. Bou Lou is slated to debut in limited quantities at the Kansas City Boulevardia street festival in June. It will then hit neighboring cities' shelves on June 18. If that's deemed a successful launch, the beer could be making its way toward a store near you.

"This is an alliance that had to happen,” Boulevard Brewing president Jeff Krum said of the pairing. "Working with Tech and the Strange Music team has been a real privilege. Their creativity, attention to detail and commitment to excellence made it clear to all of us why they’ve achieved such remarkable and sustained success."

The Strange Music Inc. artist is currently in the midst of a stacked 60-city trek across the U.S. that runs through June 23. The Planet Tour comes in support of the 46-year-old's 20th solo LP, Planetwhich released back in March.
