Demonstrators gathered at Temple's Birdcreek Shopping Center to protest Target's transgender restroom policy Saturday afternoon.

The protest, organized by Concerned Christian Citizens, began in front of the store, but moved to public property near South General Bruce Drive at the request of a Target manager.

After receiving a tip alerting us to the protest, we headed to Birdcreek and spoke with some of the protesters, including local conservative radio show host Lynn Woolley.

A manger inside the store politely declined to comment.

As we spoke to the protesters, some passing drivers honked, cheered, or shouted from windows. Opinions were mixed, with some seeming to express support and others, disdain. One woman shouted "Get a life" shortly after we stopped recording. Hers was the only voice we were able to make out above the sounds of wind and traffic.
