Temple police are investigating a shooting with no suspects, no known witnesses, and no crime scene.

Officers were called to the 1000 block of East Adams Avenue on Saturday, March 26 shortly after 3 PM, where they found a man who'd been shot in the leg.

The man said he was at a barbecue somewhere on North 20th St. when another man shot him, then fled in a maroon Jeep.

Police went to investigate the area where the man claims he was shot, but they found no signs of a barbecue and not witnesses.

The shooting victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital. He told officers the person who shot him was a black male in a blue shirt and black pants.
