Now This News", Texas prosecutors are dismissing marijuana charges for one simple reason: They're tired of dealing with them.

With momentum for legalization growing across the country, Texas prosecutors are getting tired of fighting what they say are "minor charges" against people arrested on marijuana charges. According to "Now This News" arrests went up between 2011-2012 with 18% of the charges being dismissed, but now that dismissal rate is at 41% as judges and prosecutors are starting to believe that these charges are wasting the courts time and resources.
