Texas Teacher Reportedly Confessed to Having Sex with Students
A married North Texas teacher with two children has resigned after reportedly confessing to having inappropriate relationships with two of her students.
As reported by KXII, 32-year-old Lynn Burge was a teacher at Muenster High School when she began sending nude photos of herself to a 16-year-old via Snapchat in fall of 2017. According to a police affidavit, Burge then went "backroading" and drinking with the student before taking him to her house and engaging in sexual activity with him.
Police say Burge repeated the routine with an 18-year-old in March of 2018.
The allegations against Burge were submitted anonymously in September of 2018.
After a month-long investigation, Burge reportedly confessed to these crimes during an informal interview with a Texas Ranger conducted while she was chaperoning a class trip to the State Fair of Texas in Dallas last week. The Ranger said she admitted to her activities with the 18-year-old, but said she woke up next to the 16-year-old and couldn't be sure they'd engaged in any sexual activity.
Burge was arrested last Thursday and posted $125,000 bond Friday. Muenster ISD officials say she has resigned.
