A Texas woman's home was spared by Mother Nature when tornadoes tore through the state in December, but it's gone now thanks to human nature.

A company by the name of Billy L. Nabors Demolition obliterated Lindsay Diaz's home in Rowlett, Texas Tuesday after confusing it with a home scheduled to be destroyed an entire block away.

Diaz told KTVT News in Dallas-Forth Worth that an engineer had declared her home structurally sound after the storms, and she was in the process of making repairs.

When she returned home Tuesday to find her house in ruins, she spoke to a demolition supervisor and learned that they were meant to have demolished a home on another street. When she called the head of the company, she says he made excuses and refused to apologize.

“I didn’t believe he was telling me this,” Diaz said.. “I was hoping for an apology, I’m sorry my company did this. We’ll make it better, and instead he’s telling me how the insurance is going to handle it and telling me that it’s going to be a nasty fight.”

KTVT reached out to the president of Billy L. Nabors Demolition, but he reportedly declined to comment.
