Born in Mississippi in 1979 signed to Atlantic Records in 1993 her celebrity status rose in the early 90s with mega-hits "I Wanna Be Down", "Baby" "Best Friend" and more!
Though a lot of her hits came in the early to mid 90's she had hits in the 2000s too!
She was also the star of her own UPN sitcom back in the day "Moesha"
