One Person is Dead and Another is Injured Following Harker Heights Hit and Run
UPDATE 8-20-16, 11:40 AM: Police say one of the hit-and-run victims passed away Friday afternoon as a result of his injuries.
Two people were hospitalized after being struck by a car in Harker Heights overnight.
KXXV-TV reports that two men were walking along the side of the road in the 600 block of East Central Texas Expressway early Friday morning when an SUV hit them.
Both men were taken to a local hospital, and one of them reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV sped away from the scene. According to KXXV, police say the vehicle, believed to be a GMC Arcadia, may have major damage to its front and passenger side.
