After announcing the joint album MihTy, Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign share the upcoming project's first single, "The Light."

Produced by Ayo & Keyz, Ty Dolla gets straight to the point on the sultry song, singing, "Let's have sex, but not without the foreplay (okay, cool)/But not without the first date (okay, cool)/But not before I have to wonder if you let me hit/If I walk you to your doorway."

Following a hook from Jeremih, the Chicago crooner comes back for the song's first verse as he raps about his desires over a sample of Keni Burke's "Risin' to the Top." "Can you picture us posted on the wall?/I put her to sleep and she woke up like that/Breakfast in bed, I ordered her for a snack (yeah)/Get to the back, I'm talkin' the big payback," Jeremih sings.

Ty Dolla $ign first announced the project in January, and then told Zane Lowe in May that he and Jeremih would be dropping the project in June. "That’s like a full-length album. I’m so excited for that one," he said. "We did it with my bro, Hitmaka. He produced the whole shit, so it’s like a consistent album of bangers.”

The singer also revealed the two have created around 60 songs but narrowed it down to 13 or 14 for the upcoming album. "I promise you we did [at tops] eight sessions," he added. "Maybe less than that. We got 60 songs and we had to choose 13-14."
