Police have released the name of a man who was fatally shot on Betsy Ross Drive in Temple Monday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Savion Manuel of Copperas Cove. Police responding to a report of the shooting at the intersection of Salusbury and Betsy Ross Drive at 2:15 PM Monday attempted CPR on Manuel at the scene, but were unable to revive him.

Several blocks around the shooting were closed as police, Texas Rangers, and the crew of DPS helicopter searched the area for suspects. Nearby Kennedy-Powell Elementary, Temple High School, and The Peanut Gallery were placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Around 7 PM that night, police received a report of suspicious activity in the 800 block of Betsy Ross. They searched a home and found three suspects hiding inside.

Two of the suspects - Cash Le'Anthony Hilliard and Marqus Kejuaan Brown, both of Temple - were booked into the Bell County Jail. Formal charges against both men were pending Wednesday afternoon.

The third suspect - a 16-year-old - has not been identified due to his age, and was in Killeen's Juvenile Detention Center awaiting charges.

Police have not commented on a motive for the shooting.
