Waco, Texas hide your keys, hide your wallet because it's getting real!

According to police records there has been an outrageous number of car break-ins in the last few months. Recently, a Waco resident was added to the list of victims. Leaving the gym after a workout she returned to a shattered window and a missing wallet.

Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton says "because of the volume of cars that are out there it is easy to get blended In there if I'm a would be burglar looking for something to break into."

After a break in police say victims should file a police report immediately and if there are serial numbers to the things that were taken they may able to track it.
