With an album due out this fall, Wale is planning to get his shine on all summer long and got things started in proper fashion with a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Watch the performance above as Wale draws the crowd in with the sweet serenade of his latest single "My P.Y.T." going so far as to leave the stage area and perform closer to Fallon's late night desk.

Before Wale releases SHINE, what will be the rapper's fifth studio album, or the upcoming MMG collection Self Made 4, the D.C. rhymer is putting out the mixtape Summer on Sunset, writing on Twitter, "A story about last summer 'Summer on Sunset' drops the first day THIS summer." Fans can expect that tape on Monday June 20, which marks the summer solstice, or the following day, what would be the first full day of summer.

While "My P.Y.T." dropped only a few weeks ago, Wale has stayed plenty busy, teaming up with his label cohorts Meek Mill and Rick Ross for "Make It Work" earlier this month, and releasing such summer themed tunes as "Her Wave" and "Reminisce" in the time since.

Peep his Tonight Show performance above, with the light melodies the perfect soundtrack for whatever summertime romances are to be had. With a mixtape in the coming days and a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Festival lineup, Wale is sure to keep the summer sizzling.
