Two WNBA players, former Baylor Bear Brittney Griner, who now plays for the Phoenix Mercury, and her fiancee, the Tulsa Shock's Glory Johnson, were arrested on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct following a fight at their home in suburban Phoenix Arizona.

Both were booked into jail Wednesday and later released.

Officers arrested Griner and Johnson, and Police spokeswoman Lisa Kutis said. "No weapons were involved and neither woman required hospital care for their minor injuries".

Maybe they were arguing which WNBA team had the worst name. The Mercury or the Shock! If you remember the couple announced their engagement last summer and expected to wed this May.

Here's what Shock president Steve Swetoha had to say: "Of course our first concern is for Glory's well-being and health". I'm guessing because Griner is a beast who helped the Mercury win a championship last year with a record 129 blocks and was the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year, helped the U.S. win a gold medal at the world championship last month and don't forget Griner led Baylor to a 40-0 season and the 2012 NCAA title.
