The Madden NFL 19 video game has opened a can of worms by deciding to scrub Colin Kaepernick's name from Big Sean's verse on YG's track, "Big Bank," which appears on the game's soundtrack. Now, it seems they are reaching out to those involved in apology.

TMZ ran into YG on Friday (Aug. 3), and the Bompton rapper told the site he personally received a call from one of the CEO's of the popular football simulator.

"The CEO just called me like three hours ago and we had a conversation on the phone," he revealed. "They was apologizing. They said they gon' do more than call everybody and apologize and all that. That wasn't purposely done, is what they say. I'm a fan of the NFL and NBA so we just gotta make it right."

About the outrage, he added, "We had to let it be known that this shit ain't straight. But they figuring it out, we good."

Both YG and Big Sean called out the game after hearing the former NFL quarterback's name removed from the track. "It’s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7’s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word. When he's not a curse, he's a gift! Nobody from my team approved any of this," Sean tweeted.

Following the fallout, Madden released an official statement apologizing for the mistake. It reads: "We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack. Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don't have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn't affect soundtracks. We messed up, and the edit should never have happened. We will make it right, with an update to Madden NFL 19 on August 6 that will include the reference again. We meant no disrespect, and we apologize to Colin, to YG and Big Sean, to the NFL, to all of their fans and our players for this mistake."

In related news, YG just dropped his new album, Stay Dangerous, on Friday.
