Jeffery aka Young Thug is gearing up to serve as one of five mentors in the upcoming seventh season of VFILES Runway.

The rapper will help provide the show’s designers with an opportunity to showcase their talents on fashion's biggest stage -- New York Fashion Week. Thugger will coach models on the digital TV series alongside veterans of the industry, Naomi Campbell, Mel Ottenberg, Pat McGrath, and Jerry Lorenzo. On the heels of his recent 80s hip-hop inspired Puma campaign, Thugga continues his efforts to brazenly challenge conventions of gender and fashion.

“We are incredibly excited to be consulting with Naomi, Pat, Jerry, Mel, and Jeffery as we prep for the seventh season of VFILES Runway," VFILES Founder and CEO Julie Anne Quay said via press release about the new season. "Each has an incredible vision and are also not scared to take risks where moving fashion forward is concerned. Fashion today belongs to the risk takers and those who will push the boundaries of their ideas and how they are communicated.”

On the music end, “Mr. Jeffrey” is planning to release his new project, Jeffery, very soon and recently apologized via Instagram for the album’s delay. To appease his fans, he teased a new song featuring Wyclef Jean and posted a video of Jean singing him happy birthday. The rapper celebrated his birthday yesterday, August 16.
