Akon Defies Death in Salaam Remi’s ‘One in the Chamber’ Video

The video for 'One in the Chamber,' the first single from Salaam Remi's 'ONE: In the Chamber' LP, arrives and finds Akon in quite the predicament -- thanks to his own charm.

The ladies man woos and beds a female, who, unbeknownst to him, is working for the enemy. After recording one of Akon's business conversations, the female informs a nemesis about his plans, which then leads to a shootout.

Akon channels Drake-like marksmanship and athleticism to survive. Then he's rescued by his double-crossing companion. The reason she does so leads to another problematic situation for Akon.

Remi's 'ONE: In the Chamber' is nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards. The project will face off against Mack Wilds' 'New York: A Love Story,' which Remi also produced.
