Lobo, Texas is a small ghost town located in Culberson County. About 57 miles away from Marfa. It was established in the late 19th century due to the expansion of the railroad in the region. The town did thrive briefly as a shipping hub for cattle and agricultural products. Lobo even had a post office, school, general store, and several houses.

When the railroad bypassed Lobo for other surrounding towns, it began its decline. Residents moved on in search of better opportunities. The post office closed in 1927, signaling the end of an era for the town.

Over the years, Lobo has become a prime example of a ghost town, with abandoned buildings, and everything you would expect. Even nowadays, little remains of the community, except for a few crumbling structures and remnants.
