It Costs Over $4,000 A Month To Live In Texas’ Most Livable City
For just over $4,000 per month, you can live in Texas’ most livable city in 2025.
Look, I’ll be the first to admit that the subject of which Texas city is the most livable is highly debatable and I have some thoughts on the matter. But for the most part, I’m here to report the results of the study conducted by GoBankingRates that determined the most livable city in each state.
What makes a city more livable than others?
For my money, it depends on the priorities of the individual as to what makes a city more livable. For instance, a safe and secure environment is the top factor that makes a city more livable for me.
However, for the sake of the study, researchers used a combination of factors to reach their conclusions. They looked at factors like crime rate, air quality, transportation safety and convenience, and all of the factors that go into the cost of living.
What is 2025’s most livable city in Texas?
According to the study, that would be Denton:
- Household median income: $71,921
- Livability: 85
- Expenditure monthly average cost: $1,940
- Mortgage monthly average cost: $2,207
- Total cost of living monthly: $4,147
My sister lived in Denton when I was a kid in the 80s. I always thought it was a cool town, but it’s grown a lot since then. When I passed through there a few months ago the traffic was a nightmare, which makes it not very livable in my opinion. Just sayin’.
