For the past 28 years, this charitable event has invited attendees to purchase handcrafted bowls and enjoy delicious soups, with all proceeds benefiting individuals and families in need. Since its inception, the nonprofit has raised more than $1.4 million to fight hunger in Central Texas.

Vatske, President and CEO of the Central Texas Food Bank, described the event as “a cherished Austin tradition that unites creativity, passion, and community.” She added, “Unfortunately, hunger doesn’t take a holiday break, so every bowl purchase is critical. It helps ensure more children and families can experience the joy and comfort of a full table this season and beyond.”

This year’s event will feature over 3,000 handcrafted bowls and more than 200 gallons of soup donated by 30 participating restaurants. Attendees can also enjoy live music, a silent auction, and take home a locally crafted bowl as a keepsake.This is what it’s all about — the community coming together to make sure we’re taking care of one another.
