
Killeen, Texas Man Taken Into Custody for Allegedly Shooting At Police
Nathan Andrew Dodge of Killeen, Texas is currently facing legal action after he was purported actions that was violent towards the United States. What led to his arrest and what charges is he facing? Here's what is known at the time of writing?
Why Were The Police Called To Killeen?
Per KWTX, April 10th, 2025 is when the situation occurred. The United States Secret Service brought the Killeen Police Department's attention to a situation in Central Texas. As reported by the news organization, the Secret Service asked for backup when going to Dodge's place of residence. Dodge was accused of "threats made against the United States," per testimony.
The incident began when Killeen law enforcement appeared at the home of Dodge. Officers revealed that they were with police in Killeen, and Dodge instead told police a false name, claiming to be somebody else. But, following a request from police, things escalated.

What Was The Request That Resulted In Dodge Firing A Weapon At Officers?
KWTX revealed that Dodge, when asked by law enforcement, moved to dining room of the residence to speak to officers. When officers were making sure he wasn't armed and searching him, they found a weapon on his person.
Following the discovery, Dodge moved away from the officer and then, per testimony, "pointed it." Acting quickly, police avoided gunfire from Dodge. Officers also determined that Dodge did indeed shoot at law enforcement when a single casing and bullet hole in a door were found.
Dodge, following the incident, was arrested for aggravated assault against a public servant. $1.5 Million was the bond set against him. As this a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
