Donald Trump “MAGA” Themed Hat Causes Issue On Flight To Austin, Texas
Two unknown individuals on a flight to Texas were removed off the plane following an altercation about a Donald Trump themed hat. Here's what is known at the time of writing.
Flight From London To Austin, Texas Held Up Due To Fight Over Item
According to KXAN, British Airways Flight BA 191 was set to travel from Heathrow Airport to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. However, around the time of 12:45 PM local, a statement from British Airways revealed “A woman in her 40s and a woman in her 60s made counter allegations of affray."
Per The Crown Prosecution Service, "affray" is described as "unlawful violence" from one person concerning another. The Sun elaborated on what caused the fight to begin.
Refusal To Remove MAGA Hat Causes Fight Before Takeoff
As revealed by The Sun, problems began before the two women got onto the flight. After one of the females requested that the woman take off the hat, the other rejected the request, which lead to fight in the gate area. Tensions continued onto the plane, where the two looked to continue the fight inside the aircraft.
However, the captain of flight quickly summoned law enforcement to plane. Both women were taken off the flight, The women were not placed under arrest, but the assertion of affray was explained to them. The flight itself, which was set to fly to the state of Texas at 12:10 PM Local time, took off at 2:11 PM instead.
