 A LITTLE BACK STORY

Back in June 2020, Whataburger made a $1 million commitment to serve it communities, focusing on the intersection of education and food and securities. As a result, the Whataburger Feeding Student Success Scholarship was launched in Dec. 2021. With continued investing in students within their communities, the company has since exceeded its commitment.

"While aiming for their educational dreams, no student should ever have to worry about nourishment or the resources to succeed. We know there can be challenges along the way. That’s why through Whataburger Feeding Student Success, we’re dedicated to helping students focus on their goals while giving them the best chance possible at a fulfilling future." -Whataburger Community Experience Manager, Ali Watters

What's also cool is that the Whataburger Family Foundation regularly gives out scholarship funding to Whataburger employees and their dependents during the spring/fall semester. They have awarded $21 million in assistance, including scholarships and hardship grant assistance over the years.

WHATASCHOLARSHIP!

I am loving this Texas based company giving back and supporting students right here in the Lone Star State. The funds can be used for tuition, fees, book supplies, and housing. In addition, it can be applied at any college, university, or not-for-profit vocational school. Share this with everyone you know that has a student hitting the post-secondary scene, so they can apply, and get this grant money.
