Texas resident and founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, is in an all-out feud with President Donald Trump, and it's getting crazy.

A Sudden Rift Between Former Allies

Musk backed Trump during his presidency, and he was appointed to lead DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency. Now, however, they are ripping into one another online through social media outlets.

Musk's Fiscal and Policy Criticisms

It all began when Musk objected to Trump's new spending bill and tax commitments after Musk was relieved of his position as the head of DOGE. Musk's anti-Trump comments suggested that Trump harmed the U.S. by adding $3 trillion to the state debt, while also eliminating tax benefits for EVs.

Trump's Fiery Retaliation

Musk called the bill "disgusting." Trump responded, stating that Musk "lost his mind", and hinted at possibly repealing any government arrangements with either Tesla or SpaceX. Trump then joked about selling his red Tesla.

Escalation: Epstein and Impeachment Allegations

Musk, who never backs down from a fight (unless it's an MMA fight against Mark Zuckerberg), suggested that Trump's name may be in the sealed Jeffrey Epstein records. Musk also suggested Trump should be impeached again.

Financial Fallout from the Feud

This feud has not only been crazy, but it has also cost both of them money. Tesla's stock decreased more than 14% of its price resulting in a loss of about $150 billion of its value. At the same time Trump's media company's stock plummeted as well.

Musk Explores a New Political Path

Currently, Musk is toying with starting a new political party for everyone disenchanted with the Democrats and Republicans. Musk posted a poll on X to see how many people thought it was a good idea to start a new political party. More than 80% of the people that answered said yes.

Some leaders, like Texas Senator Ted Cruz, have even issued pleas for them to settle down and quit fighting, but it appears that neither of them is giving in for now.

Who Are The 5 Richest People in Texas, Not Counting Elon Musk?

There are more billionaires in America than in any other country, according to Stacker. For some people, the money just keeps pouring in, as Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is projected to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2026.

However, Bezos is not the world's richest person right now. That title goes to the founder of SpaceX, Tesla, and the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk. Musk owns a mansion in Austin but says his main home is a $50,000 rental from SpaceX in Boca Chica, Texas.

Forbes lists 63 billionaires in Texas, including Elon Musk. Let's find out who's at the top of the list in the Lone Star State for 2022, right behind Musk.
