Tik Tok videos exposed a problem with two vehicle brands and now owners of those brands in Texas are entitled to a check for up to $3K from the manufacturers.

It's not just Texas owners, these vehicles were sold all over the United States of America and if you have the right model, you have some $$ coming your way.

The fact that they are easily stolen is where the big bucks play into this, keep reading to see if you're one of the ones with a nice Christmas present coming.

First of all, here's the deal: a series of Tik Tok videos showed young people, with the simplest of tools, breaking into and stealing certain cars made by Hyundai and Kia.

It was super easy because  because the vehicles lacked anti-theft devices, specifically, "engine immobilizers". These prevent the engine from starting unless the proper key or remote is present.

How Do I Find Out If I Qualify?

The first step to request the payment is to verify the vehicle’s eligibility by entering its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the settlement website. After that, owners need to gather proof of ownership or lease, documentation of any theft or attempted theft, and receipts for expenses related to the theft or attempted theft. - infoemplea2
