Killeen police are investigating two early morning robberies, both of which involved injuries to the victims.

The first robbery occurred at a Mickey's convenience store, 2000 Trimmier Rd., around 2 AM.

One man reportedly entered the store while another remained near the door as a lookout. The first man approached the register and demanded cash.

An employee handed over cash from a drawer, but told the suspect another drawer only contained change. The employee was then hit in the head with what he believes to have been a gun.

The suspects then fled north on foot.

The second robbery occurred on Andover Dr. shortly before 3 AM.

The victim told police he was approached by two men who forced their way into his apartment in the 2300 block of Andover. Once inside, the two stole several items, then shot the victim in the foot before fleeing the scene.

The victim was taken to Seaton Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the two suspects were African-American, but did not provide more details.

Anyone with information about either crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 526-TIPS (8477), bellcountycrimestoppers.com, or the P3 tips mobile app. Information leading to an arrest could net a cash reward of up to $1,000, and callers do not have to give their name.
