Killeen police believe two shootings that took place late Sunday night and early Monday morning may be related.

The first shooting occurred around 9:30 PM Sunday. Shots were fired at a home on Saddle Drive near Gateway Middle School. Two people were in the home, but not injuries were reported.

Shooters targeted a home in the 1300 block of Fox Creek Drive around 2 AM Monday. Six people were inside the home, including one person who was in the home on Saddle Creek when the former shooting took place.

No injuries were reported, but police told KWTX-TV that two rounds penetrated a wall one foot above a three-year-old child's bed.

No other homes appeared to have been targeted.

Detectives found shell casings near the scene of one of the shootings and were still working to identify a suspect late Monday morning.
