One Man Hospitalized After Shooting at Belton Easter Celebration

An Easter celebration in Belton became violent when a fight escalated into gunfire.

Our news partner KWTX-TV reported Sunday that a family was having an Easter egg hunt at Heritage Park when two man began arguing.

One of the two men reportedly threw water into the other's face. The wet man left for a short time, then returned with a gun and allegedly shot the other man in the arm and leg.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is was in stable condition Sunday evening. The shooter reportedly drove away in a truck. Police have not released his identity or commented on whether or not he's been arrested.
