The calendar may say it is October and we will soon be turning the clocks back for the end of daylight saving time, but the 90 degree days continue, so the question of whether or not it is actually fall might be still up for debate?

This picture is the entrance to Garner State Park, and is known for its incredible Frio River that runs as the eastern border for the park. Depending on the current water level, you may consider adding a float to your fall hike through this gorgeous countryside.

This Is Texas's Best Fall Hike Right Now

The reason Garner State Park is the best place for a fall hike is because its trails are fairly easy to manage which is especially nice when you are out with your three small kids like my wife and I are. Besides the magnificent foliage, you also can take in some spectacular views at places like Old Baldy or Painted Rock Overlook.
