Massive Texas Headquartered Empire Is Now Closing Over 400 Locations
Texas is home to the headquarters for some very serious companies that have a world wide appeal and presence across the globe, and even as we are seeing tons of Fortune 500 companies relocating to the Lone Star State, we are not immune to other companies that have been based here for decades taking a step back, or going belly up entirely.

Recently some companies have announced they are only closing underperforming stores with hopes that they will remain strong with their brand's recognition and prestige. Some of these businesses are actually planning on going through a growth period again very soon, but first need to shed off the stores that are dragging them down.
Irving, Texas based 7-Eleven has been closing locations over the past several years very quietly with the total number of stores decreasing by about 25%. I honestly do not believe this new announcement via Fox 7 Austin about closing 400 plus stores should give any reason to believe 7-Eleven will disappear any time soon.
This parking lot just in the last year has turned into a brand new 7-Eleven in Temple, and other locations are still being built.

Losing another 400 plus 7-Eleven stores does not really produce a lot of confidence in the health of the company, but as you can see from the newer locations being built, it does appear they are focusing on quality over quantity at this point moving forward, and that is almost always a very profitable approach.
